Petco Promo Code That Works? Where to Find One in 2026

Yes, in the US you can usually find a Petco promo code that works in 2026, as long as it comes from Petco itself. Petco publishes its offers on petco.com, in its app and in its emails, each with its own terms. Read the exclusions, use codes you can trace back to Petco, and open Petco through ShopBack before you check out.

Petco is a US pet retailer headquartered in San Diego. It started in 1965 as a mail-order veterinary supply company, opened its first store in La Mesa, California, in 1976, and had 1,382 locations in 2025, according to Wikipedia. It sells pet food and supplies online and in stores, and many stores also offer grooming, training and veterinary care.

ShopBack US is a free app and website that returns part of what you spend at partner stores as cash you can withdraw. You go through ShopBack before you check out at Petco, and after the order is confirmed, cash comes back to your account. Join ShopBack US free here.

Petco promo code: where the working codes come from

The Petco promo codes that work are the ones Petco publishes itself. Petco sells products and services, and the two often follow different offer rules, so where a code comes from tells you a lot about whether it will apply to your cart.

Source	What you usually find	Watch out for
petco.com and the Petco app	Current offers on products and brands	Terms on each offer; some are app only
Petco emails	Offers sent to subscribers	Short expiry dates
Your Petco rewards account	Member offers and rewards	Must be signed in to see them

The short version: start at Petco's own site or app, skip codes you cannot trace back to Petco, and go through ShopBack's Petco page before you pay.

Petco promo code 2026: what to expect this year

In 2026, Petco's working codes still come from Petco's own channels, and they change often enough that a list of today's codes would go stale within days. That is why this page does not list codes or discount amounts. What usually holds true for a pet retailer the size of Petco:

• Offers rotate. Brand and category offers come and go, so check the offer details on the day you shop.
• Products and services differ. A code for food or supplies usually does not cover grooming, training or vet care.
• Some offers need an account. Member offers show up once you sign in to Petco.
• Subscriptions have their own rules. Repeat Delivery orders are set up differently from one-off orders, so a code may not carry over to later deliveries.

No code needed: go through ShopBack before you pay and part of what you spend comes back as Cashback. Cashback is a discount like a code or coupon, and often the better one: there is nothing to find, copy or type, and it usually still applies on sale prices.

Petco promo codes, discount codes, coupons and vouchers in the US

In the US, a Petco promo code, discount code, coupon and voucher all mean the same thing online: a code you enter at checkout. Some Petco offers apply automatically to marked items, which is why you may see a lower price in your cart without typing a code.

How to use one online:

1. Go to the cart or checkout page on petco.com or in the Petco app and find the promo code field.
2. Enter the code exactly and apply it. The total updates if it works.
3. If it fails, check the expiry date, exclusions, minimum spend and whether the code is for new customers or one item type only.

Codes found online are often expired, single-use or for new customers only. Going through ShopBack before you pay is the saving that still applies, with no code to find or type.

Petco official promotions, offers and terms

Petco's official offers come with terms on the offer itself, and the biggest differences are between products, services and subscriptions. Read those terms before you fill a cart. Things that commonly have their own rules at Petco:

• Services. Grooming, training and vet care are booked and paid differently from products.
• Repeat Delivery. Petco's subscription orders for food and supplies run on a schedule you set.
• Gift cards and donations. These usually sit outside product offers.
• Rewards. Rewards you redeem lower the amount you pay at Petco.

Petco also runs Vital Care, a subscription service for veterinary care, according to Wikipedia. If you use Petco's vet clinics often, check what the plan includes on petco.com before you pay for visits one by one.

Petco Cashback, credit card rewards and offers in 2026

In 2026, the rewards you can earn on a Petco order come from three places: Petco's own rewards program, your card issuer, and ShopBack. Each pays out differently.

Where it comes from	How it pays out	Who sets the terms
Petco rewards	Rewards spent at Petco	Petco
Your credit card	Points or rewards from your issuer	Your card issuer
ShopBack	Cash returned to your ShopBack account, ready to withdraw	ShopBack

Wikipedia notes that Petco has run a loyalty card program since 1997, and ShopBack's Petco terms refer to Vital Care Rewards. If you pay with a rewards credit card, the issuer usually pays rewards on the amount charged, after any discount. You can usually earn your card's rewards and Cashback on the same purchase, because they come from different places.

Cashback lowers what you actually pay for an order. It comes back as cash, so it works like a discount on the price, not like points or miles. Petco rewards are spent at Petco; ShopBack cash can be withdrawn.
