Office Depot and OfficeMax is a US office supplies, technology, and business solutions retailer operating under a combined banner following the 2013 merger. Products and services ship through officedepot.com and a footprint of roughly 870 physical stores across the country, with a separate business direct sales channel for larger accounts. Catalog spans office supplies (paper, pens, notebooks, ink and toner cartridges, filing and organization), technology (laptops, monitors, printers, computer accessories), furniture (task chairs, desks, ergonomic seating, filing cabinets), cleaning and breakroom (coffee, snacks, cleaning supplies, paper goods), mailing and packaging (shipping boxes, envelopes, tape, mailers), print and copy services (business cards, flyers, banners, invitations, dissertation printing, T-shirt custom print), and tech services (data recovery, tech setup, computer repair). Physical stores also serve as drop-off points for UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipments. Office Depot runs the Office Depot Rewards loyalty program for individual shoppers, and BusinessSelect and Small Business Advantage for B2B accounts. Officedepot.com is US-primary and the parent company is The ODP Corporation (Nasdaq: ODP); verify current ownership status on the merchant page since ODP has been the subject of recent take-private discussions.

Office Depot and OfficeMax back-to-school is a two-month window running July through August, historically the deepest annual event on school supplies (notebooks, folders, binders, pens, backpacks, calculators, lunch boxes) with penny deals and doorbusters refreshed weekly. Late July typically holds the widest doorbuster selection; mid-August catches teacher-classroom rush and clearance on early-July inventory; late August cleans out remaining stock at the deepest cuts on colors and sizes that did not sell through. Educator discounts stack on top for eligible teachers verified through Office Depot's classroom program. Route through the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax page pre-click for cashback on eligible orders at the current published rate.

Office Depot and OfficeMax Black Friday and Cyber Monday runs from the last Friday of November through the following Monday and is typically the deepest annual window on technology (laptops, monitors, printers, external drives), office chairs and desks (ergonomic and executive lines), ink and toner multi-packs, shredders, and small-business technology bundles. Cyber Monday historically stretches into a Cyber Week with additional online-only markdowns on furniture and printers. Boxing Day and End-of-Year clearance in the final week of December cleans remaining inventory on chairs, desks, and monitors at further cuts. Office Depot Rewards members typically get earlier access to select doorbusters. Activate ShopBack pre-click for cashback on eligible orders at the current published rate.

Office Depot and OfficeMax carries the mainstream US ink and toner cartridge lines (HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Lexmark, Xerox, plus Office Depot's own compatible remanufactured cartridges at a discount to OEM). Deepest windows on ink and toner: back-to-school (July to August, multi-pack promotions), Black Friday and Cyber Monday (deepest annual cuts on OEM multi-packs), tax season prep (February to April, small business restock window), and rolling ink and toner recycling rewards where returning empty cartridges earns Office Depot Rewards credit toward future ink orders. Office Depot's own remanufactured cartridges typically undercut OEM by a meaningful margin on a per-page-yield basis; the tradeoff is a shorter warranty and printer-manufacturer compatibility caveats. For BusinessSelect and Small Business Advantage account holders, volume tiers can undercut retail on OEM ink and toner. Route through ShopBack pre-click for cashback on eligible orders.

Office Depot and OfficeMax carries a broad furniture catalog for home office setup: task chairs (mesh, executive leather, gaming, kneeling and ergonomic drafting stools), sit-stand and fixed-height desks, monitor arms, keyboard trays, filing cabinets, bookshelves, and storage. House brands (Realspace, WorkPro, Brenton Studio, and other Office Depot own lines) sit at the entry tier; Serta, HON, La-Z-Boy, and Herman Miller (select SKUs) occupy the mid-to-premium tier. Deepest windows on furniture: Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Boxing Day and end-of-year clearance, President's Day (February, technology and furniture combined), Labor Day (September), and Memorial Day (May). Furniture typically carries a longer manufacturer warranty than pens and paper; verify the warranty term on the product listing before purchasing. Delivery on larger furniture usually runs on a scheduled window rather than next-day. Route through ShopBack pre-click for cashback on eligible orders at the current published rate.

Office Depot and OfficeMax carries mainstream US laptop, monitor, and printer lines (HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS, Apple on select SKUs; Dell, HP, Samsung, LG, ASUS monitors; HP, Canon, Epson, Brother printers). Reliable price-cut windows on Office Depot technology: back-to-school (July to August, student laptop bundles), Black Friday and Cyber Monday (deepest annual cuts on laptops, monitors, and all-in-one printers), President's Day (February, technology and furniture combined), tax season prep (February to April on small-business technology), and end-of-year clearance in late December. Office Depot bundles technology purchases with data-transfer, setup, extended-warranty, and computer-repair add-ons through in-store tech services, which can undercut buying setup separately after the fact. For laptop and monitor SKU comparison, price-check officedepot.com against bestbuy.com, walmart.com, and amazon.com on the same model number before locking; on cross-brand technology, Best Buy typically has more depth and Amazon typically has faster shipping. Activate ShopBack pre-click for cashback at the current published rate.

Office Depot and OfficeMax print and copy services cover business cards, flyers, brochures, banners (indoor vinyl, outdoor, retractable), invitations and announcements (wedding, birthday, holiday, save-the-date), letterhead and envelopes, presentation printing and binding, poster and blueprint printing, dissertation and thesis printing with hardcover binding options, and T-shirt and custom apparel printing through in-store and partner networks. Turnaround options run from same-day pickup on standard business cards and flyers to a few business days on banners and larger custom jobs. In-store pickup is available at physical locations; direct shipping is available online. Office Depot Rewards earn on print and copy orders like any other eligible purchase. For repeat print jobs (annual holiday cards, quarterly business card refresh, dissertation reprints), BusinessSelect account holders can lock template files and reorder without redoing the design step. Print services are a category where the head-to-head is typically Office Depot versus Staples, Vistaprint (mail-order), and independent local print shops. Route through ShopBack pre-click for cashback on eligible orders.

Most Office Depot and OfficeMax physical stores serve as drop-off points for UPS, FedEx, and USPS pre-labeled packages, and select stores offer full ship-center services (weigh and label a package on the spot, print labels from an emailed PDF, insurance and tracking add-ons). Office Depot also stocks a full mailing and packaging supplies aisle (shipping boxes in standard UPS, FedEx, and USPS sizes, envelopes, padded mailers, tape, packing peanuts, bubble wrap, packing tape and dispensers, mailing labels). For small business and reseller volume, BusinessSelect and Small Business Advantage can bundle shipping supplies into a recurring order at volume pricing. Verify the specific ship-center services at the local store before driving over; drop-off is broadly available, on-site labeling and weighing varies by location. Cashback via ShopBack applies to online purchases at officedepot.com; in-store shipping fees and UPS or FedEx or USPS postage typically fall outside cashback-eligible categories, though shipping supplies purchased online do earn on eligible orders.

Office Depot and OfficeMax runs an in-store tech services desk covering data recovery, new-device setup (Windows, Mac, printer, router), computer repair (diagnostics, virus removal, hardware upgrades, screen replacement on select laptop models), data transfer between old and new devices, and extended protection plans on technology purchases. Tech services typically sit alongside the print and copy counter in physical stores. Service pricing runs per-issue or bundled into a technology purchase at checkout; bundling at time of purchase typically undercuts pricing the service separately after the fact. For small business, on-site tech support and installation services are available in select markets through the Small Business Advantage channel. Cashback via ShopBack applies to online product purchases at officedepot.com; in-store tech service fees and separately-invoiced service tickets typically fall outside cashback-eligible categories.

Tax season, February through April, is Office Depot and OfficeMax's recurring window for small business and individual tax-prep supplies: tax organizer folders, expandable files, receipt scanners, shredders, printers and ink and toner multi-packs for high-volume printing, plus TurboTax, H&R Block, TaxAct, and other tax-software SKUs when in stock. Historically Office Depot runs tax-software bundles and shredder markdowns in February and early March; late March and early April catches last-minute filing supplies at held prices rather than deeper cuts. For small businesses restocking office supplies against the tax-year cutoff, BusinessSelect volume tiers and rolling ink and toner recycling rewards stack on top. Cashback via ShopBack applies at the current published rate on eligible orders. Route through the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax page pre-click.

Office Depot Rewards is Office Depot and OfficeMax's free loyalty program: members earn a percentage back in Rewards on eligible in-store and online purchases (verify the current published earn rate on the merchant page above and on officedepot.com), plus ink and toner recycling rewards (currency toward future ink purchases for returning empty cartridges), member-only offers surfaced through email, and early access to select sale events. Rewards accrue in an Office Depot wallet and can be redeemed toward future purchases at officedepot.com or in store. For any shopper who buys ink and toner more than twice a year, or who prints business cards or flyers on a recurring cadence, Office Depot Rewards typically pays back within the first two or three purchases through the recycling program alone. There is no annual fee. Rewards earning generally stacks with ShopBack cashback on eligible orders (Rewards and ShopBack cash are separate currencies), though stackability varies by promotion; confirm on the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax page.

BusinessSelect and Small Business Advantage are Office Depot and OfficeMax's B2B account programs for small and mid-size businesses, distinct from the consumer officedepot.com storefront. Advantage accounts typically get volume discount tiers on high-frequency SKUs (paper, ink and toner, coffee, cleaning supplies), net-30 payment terms, an assigned account contact for larger accounts, custom catalog controls (limit what employees can order), and consolidated invoicing across cost centers. For businesses spending in the mid-four-figures or higher annually on office supplies, the volume tiers typically undercut consumer officedepot.com pricing on ink and toner and paper by a meaningful margin. Free next-business-day delivery on office supplies orders above a published threshold is available on eligible SKUs; verify the current threshold on the merchant page above. Delivery from the BusinessSelect side runs on a business-hours delivery window rather than consumer next-day on non-qualifying orders. BusinessSelect orders are a separate purchase path from the consumer officedepot.com storefront; verify the current cashback treatment of BusinessSelect orders on the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax page before locking assumptions. Consumer officedepot.com orders and ShopBack activation cover the individual and home-office shopper path.

Office Depot (which operates OfficeMax under a combined banner following the 2013 merger) and Staples are the two US national office-supply category leaders with substantially overlapping catalogs and comparable footprint on paper, ink and toner, technology, and furniture. Office Depot and OfficeMax typically wins on OfficeMax-legacy footprint in specific US metros (roughly 870 stores nationally), Office Depot Rewards mechanics with member earn back on eligible categories, print and copy services depth including dissertation printing and T-shirt custom print, BusinessSelect volume tiers for small business, and select technology bundles. Staples typically wins on Staples Rewards mechanics, ink and toner recycling program economics, Print and Marketing services depth, and Business Advantage volume tiers. For a specific SKU search, price-check officedepot.com against staples.com on the same product before locking; both retailers price-match aggressively during headline sale windows. On the ShopBack side, activate ShopBack pre-click on the Office Depot and OfficeMax merchant page or the Staples page at the current published rate.

For US office supplies, the four anchor destinations are Office Depot and OfficeMax (widest office-supply specialist catalog plus print and copy services and BusinessSelect), Amazon and Amazon Business (broadest catalog, fastest shipping via Prime, extensive third-party marketplace), Walmart (competitive pricing on basics, in-store pickup at scale), and Costco (bulk paper and toner economics for members). Office Depot typically wins on office-supply specialist depth, print and copy services including dissertation and T-shirt custom print, ink and toner recycling economics through Office Depot Rewards, and free next-business-day delivery on eligible office supplies orders above a published threshold. Amazon typically wins on Prime speed on individual small orders and on breadth of marketplace third-party listings. Walmart typically wins on price on paper, notebooks, and pens as everyday basics with pickup speed at physical stores. Costco typically wins on bulk paper cases and toner multi-packs for members. For a specific need: recurring ink and toner and print and copy services lean Office Depot; one-off small-order fast shipping leans Amazon (via the ShopBack Amazon page); everyday basics on price lean Walmart (via the ShopBack Walmart page); bulk paper leans Costco (via the ShopBack Costco page).

Back-to-school and technology cross-shopping typically includes Office Depot and OfficeMax, Target, and Best Buy. Office Depot typically wins on core school-supply breadth (paper, notebooks, folders, pens, calculators, backpacks under the Office Depot house and licensed brands) with weekly-refreshed penny deals across July and August. Target typically wins on style-forward back-to-school (dorm decor, character-branded lunch boxes and backpacks, apparel accessories) and has a strong educator discount program. Best Buy typically wins on technology depth (laptops, monitors, tablets, headphones) with a wider name-brand catalog on premium SKUs and Geek Squad services on the tech-support and installation side. For a student laptop bundle plus school supplies plus a dorm-decor haul, split across Best Buy (laptop, monitor, headphones), Office Depot (paper, pens, notebooks, folders, backpack, printer setup), and Target (dorm decor, apparel accessories). On the ShopBack side, activate on the Office Depot and OfficeMax merchant page for officedepot.com orders and on the corresponding Target or Best Buy pages when routing through those retailers.

ShopBack is a cashback portal that pays you cash back on qualifying orders at partner retailers, Office Depot and OfficeMax included. To earn: activate ShopBack US, clear your Office Depot cart, close the Office Depot app if installed, click through fresh to officedepot.com from the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax page, accept all cookies, and complete the order in the same browser session with no VPN, adblocker, or third-party voucher code. Payment methods on Office Depot include credit and debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Business Advantage account billing for eligible business orders. Any promo code or voucher not featured on the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax platform is typically a tracking risk; use Office Depot Rewards member codes visible on your officedepot.com dashboard or codes surfaced on the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax page, and skip external coupon aggregators. Consumer officedepot.com orders are the primary cashback-eligible path; BusinessSelect account orders may follow different terms, verify on the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax page. Cashback rates vary by category and boost window; see the current published rate on the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax page above.

The typical eligible-order pattern on officedepot.com: (1) sign in to your Office Depot Rewards account so member pricing and Rewards earn apply, (2) verify any promo code is either an Office Depot Rewards account code from your officedepot.com dashboard or a code featured on the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax platform (external coupon-site codes are a tracking risk), (3) clear cart, close the Office Depot app, activate ShopBack US, click through fresh from the ShopBack Office Depot and OfficeMax page, accept all cookies, and complete the order in the same browser session, (4) for ink and toner orders, layer the ink and toner recycling program in a separate trip by returning empty cartridges in-store for Office Depot Rewards recycling credit. Office Depot Rewards earn (in Rewards currency) and ShopBack cashback (in ShopBack cash) are separate stacks that may compound on eligible orders; stackability with specific promo codes varies by promotion. Cashback confirms after Office Depot's return window closes; a returned order voids the cashback claim. Confirm tracking after checkout.

Office Depot cashback usually appears as pending in your ShopBack US account within 48 hours of the eligible officedepot.com order, provided you activated ShopBack and clicked through at shopback.com/office-depot-and-officemax before checkout. Confirmed cashback typically lands after Office Depot's return window closes, so the confirmation window usually runs around 60 to 90 days from the order date depending on category. Furniture and technology orders with longer return windows may confirm later. If a pending cashback does not appear within 48 hours, lodge a missing-cashback claim in the ShopBack app with your Office Depot order confirmation. Verify current tracking and confirmation windows on the merchant page.
